<note>ABSTRACT

Design and Analysis of Electric Car Chassis using finite element method with
solidwork, By: Puji Andari (1) (Nim : 182123004), Supervised by : Weriono (2) and
Rinaldi (3)

Transportation is necessary to support work for everyone. The most developed
environmentally friendly vehicles are electric vehicles. Electric vehicles are
considered emission-free and can have an impact on environmental conditions. One
of the most important components of an electric vehicle is the chassis. This requires
proper chassis design to ensure vehicle safety and comfort. In the development of
electric vehicles, electric drive models are placed directly on the axle. The purpose
of this study was to obtain the frame design of an electric vehicle and analyze the von
Mises stress and displacement of the electric vehicle frame or chassis design. The
research method uses simulation. The simulation was carried out with the help of
Solidworks 2017 software. The materials used in the simulation were AISI 4130 steel
and 6063-T6 aluminum. Research has shown that a chassis concept for an electric
passenger car has been created. Based on the research results, the Frame 1 and
Frame 2 are designed AISI 4130 material made are classified as technically safe.
